Information We Collect

PurjiLagao collects information needed to provide doctor discovery, appointment booking, doctor onboarding, clinic operations, notifications, support, and account security.

  • Patient account and profile details such as name, phone number, email if provided, date of birth if provided, city, village, pincode, login identifiers, and language or app preferences.
  • Doctor and clinic details such as name, phone number, email if provided, qualification, specialty, license number, consultation fee, clinic name, clinic address, schedule, availability, blocked dates, profile photo, clinic photo, registration certificate, government ID, and verification status.
  • Appointment and service records such as doctor selected, clinic selected, appointment date and time, booking status, cancellation or rescheduling details, payment status, discounts, wallet/referral activity where available, reviews, support requests, and operational notes.
  • Location-related information such as selected city and, when you grant permission, device location used to suggest the nearest city, nearby doctors, distance, or map directions.
  • Device, app, and security information such as device tokens for push notifications, app version, platform, device identifiers used for trusted-device login, authentication tokens, notification preferences, and basic logs needed to keep the service secure and reliable.
  • Website information such as cookies, local storage preferences, device/browser information, IP address, and usage information needed for site operation, security, performance, and analytics where enabled.

How We Use Information

We use information only for service, support, safety, legal, and operational purposes connected with PurjiLagao.

  • To create and secure patient, doctor, clinic, and staff accounts.
  • To verify phone numbers, support Google sign-in where available, and support trusted-device or biometric unlock on the user's own device.
  • To show doctors, clinics, specialties, schedules, availability, fees, and appointment history.
  • To confirm, manage, cancel, reschedule, and support doctor appointments.
  • To send appointment updates, reminders, account messages, service notifications, and support responses.
  • To review doctor and clinic profiles before they go live and to prevent fake bookings, misuse, fraud, or unsafe platform activity.
  • To improve app performance, website performance, support workflows, and platform reliability.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only when needed to operate the appointment service, comply with law, or protect users and the platform.

  • Patients, doctors, clinics, and authorized clinic staff may see relevant appointment, profile, schedule, and clinic information needed to complete bookings and clinic operations.
  • Support and admin users may access relevant records to help with bookings, disputes, verification, account issues, safety, and service quality.
  • Service providers may process data for hosting, database storage, file uploads, notifications, authentication, maps/location features, analytics, communication, security, and technical operations. These may include cloud hosting/storage providers, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google sign-in, and similar service providers used by the app or website.
  • Information may be disclosed if required by law, court order, government request, fraud prevention, security investigation, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of users, doctors, clinics, PurjiLagao, or others.

Data Retention

We keep user data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, medical/clinic operations, or regulatory reasons.

  • Active account and profile data is retained while your account remains active.
  • Authentication tokens, trusted-device records, and device notification tokens are retained while needed for login, account security, and notifications. Device notification tokens are removed when the account is deleted or when the device token is unregistered.
  • Read in-app notifications are normally retained for up to 45 days before cleanup. Unread notifications may be retained while the account is active or until the user clears them.
  • Support requests, admin notes, audit logs, fraud-prevention records, and operational logs may be retained for up to 24 months unless a longer period is required for a dispute, investigation, security, or legal reason.
  • Appointment, billing, wallet, referral, settlement, payment-status, and clinic operation records may be retained for up to 7 years where needed for accounting, tax, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and clinic business records.
  • Doctor verification documents and clinic onboarding records are retained while the doctor or clinic account is active and may be retained for up to 7 years after deactivation, rejection, suspension, or closure where needed for compliance, dispute handling, fraud prevention, and platform safety.
  • Website cookies and local storage preferences remain until they expire, are replaced, or are cleared by the user through browser settings.
  • Backups may temporarily contain deleted or changed data until backup rotation removes them. We restrict backup access and use backups only for security, continuity, and recovery.

Data Deletion

Patients can delete their account from the PurjiLagao mobile app. Doctors, clinics, clinic staff, or users who cannot access the app can request deletion by contacting support.

  • Patient app deletion path: open the PurjiLagao app, go to Profile, choose Delete Account, complete the confirmation steps, and submit the deletion request.
  • Support deletion path: email support@purjilagao.com or call 9546333144 and include the phone number or email linked to the account. We may verify your identity before acting on the request.
  • After patient account deletion, we remove login access and delete or anonymize personal profile details such as phone number, email, name, location fields, date of birth, notification preferences, device tokens, notification records, saved favorites, wallet records, referral records, and linked Google sign-in identity where applicable.
  • Some appointment and operational records may be retained with personal identifiers removed or minimized where needed for clinic operations, accounting, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or safety.
  • Doctor or clinic deletion requests are reviewed because published profiles, verification records, schedules, appointment history, settlement records, and clinic operations may need to be retained or deactivated instead of immediately erased. We will delete, anonymize, or restrict data where legally and operationally possible.
  • We aim to complete ordinary deletion requests within 30 days after identity verification. Complex requests, legal holds, disputes, fraud checks, or backup rotation may require additional time.

Permissions and Choices

You can control several data uses from your device, app, or browser settings.

  • Location permission is optional. If denied, you can select your city manually and some distance or nearby-doctor features may be limited.
  • Notification permission is optional. If denied or turned off, appointment updates may still be shown inside the app but push notifications may not appear.
  • Biometric unlock, if enabled, is used only on your device to unlock saved trusted-device login. PurjiLagao does not receive your fingerprint or face data.
  • You may update account information in the app where available or contact support for help.
  • You may clear website cookies or local storage through your browser settings.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you. You can contact us to make a privacy request.

We do not sell personal information. If a law in your location gives you a right to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, you may contact us using the details below. We will review and act on eligible requests after reasonable identity verification.

  • Access: ask what personal information we hold about your account.
  • Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete or anonymize eligible data, subject to legal, safety, fraud-prevention, accounting, clinic operation, and dispute-resolution retention needs.
  • Restriction or objection: ask us to restrict or stop certain processing where applicable law gives you that right.
  • Portability: ask for a copy of eligible information in a reasonably usable format where applicable law gives you that right.

Log Files and Technical Records

Like most online services, PurjiLagao may keep technical records when users visit the website, use the apps, contact support, or access backend services. These records help us operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the platform.

  • Technical records may include IP address, device or browser type, app version, operating system, date and time, referring pages, request path, error details, and basic usage events.
  • These records are used for security, reliability, fraud prevention, debugging, analytics, and service administration.
  • Operational logs are retained only as needed for these purposes and may be retained for up to 24 months unless a longer period is required for security, investigation, legal, or dispute reasons.

Third-Party Services

This policy applies to PurjiLagao. Some features rely on third-party service providers, and those providers may process data under their own privacy terms where applicable.

  • Firebase Cloud Messaging may process device tokens and notification delivery data to send push notifications.
  • Google sign-in may process Google identity information when a user chooses to sign in with Google.
  • Maps, location, hosting, cloud storage, analytics, communication, security, and technical infrastructure providers may process limited information needed to provide their services to PurjiLagao.
  • External links, app stores, device operating systems, browser settings, phone dialers, email apps, and map apps are controlled by their respective providers. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies when you use those services.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including access controls, authentication, secure storage for app tokens where supported, limited staff/admin access, and operational safeguards. No internet-based platform can guarantee absolute security.

Children

PurjiLagao is intended for healthcare appointment booking by adults or by guardians acting for a patient. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate guardian involvement, contact us so we can review and act on the request.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy when our services, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date above shows when this policy was last updated.
